EVALUATION QUESTION #1
IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT USE, DEVELOP, OR CHALLENGE FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS
ADDITIONAL CHANGES TO TRAILER
After discussing the second draft of our trailer with our teacher we decided to experiment with the audio of the last scene of the trailer. In our first two drafts we only used diegetic sound which appears quite jarring and somewhat disrupts the smoothness of the trailer.
Our teacher suggested creating an acoustic cover (whistling) of one of the songs used in the trailer.
The video below showcases the original scene alongside two alternatives we have made.
After comparing the scenes we decided to use official music because the quality of the whistling wasn't up to the standard of the other audio. The music also transitioned nicely into the credits.
